About
Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Grand Rapids (YNPN GR) provides emerging nonprofit leaders with opportunities for professional development, education, and networking, while promoting a dialogue among nonprofits in the Greater Grand Rapids region.
Our local YNPN chapter is one of many active throughout the country. YNPN is a national 501(c)3 grassroots nonprofit organization that engages and supports future nonprofit leaders through professional development, networking, and social opportunities.
Beginning in 1997 as a small gathering of peers in San Francisco, YNPN has since grown from word-of-mouth and local volunteer leadership teams, to a nearly 15,000-member network composed of five affiliate chapters, including San Francisco; New York City; Washington, DC; Chicago; Denver; and dozens of emerging chapters in other cities across the country, including Greater Grand Rapids.
Vision
Young Nonprofit Professionals Network shall commit itself to be a professional society of individuals organized into local chapters, assisting local members in their professional efforts by fostering the development, recruitment and retention of young and emerging professionals in the nonprofit sector. Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Greater Grand Rapids will do this by providing training, networking opportunities, personal and professional growth opportunities, resources, and services to its members so that those members may better serve their local nonprofit organizations and community.
