Director of Advancement

Paws With A Cause® trains Assistance Dogs nationally for people with disabilities. Our mission is to encourage independence for people with disabilities by providing lifetime team support, education, and quality Assistance Dogs. We are looking for a Director of Advancement to lead the Development Department and develop a Major Gifts Program.

Major responsibilities will include planning and implementing fund raising strategies to meet the organization’s philanthropic objectives, creating systems and processes to ensure effective operation of the development process, and developing strong relationships with existing and prospective major gift donors.

Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading a development team and 5-10 years of experience in major gift solicitations from individuals. This person must have strong leadership skills, and be able to manage a complex Development Department. Outstanding communication abilities (written, presentation, computer and interpersonal) are also required. Knowledge of Assistance Dogs helpful.
