Rapid Growth and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Grand Rapids bring you Non-Profit Smackdown!
Each day, nonprofit sector organizations go head to head for fund-raising, volunteers, community capital, even employees; a generally cordial competition.
But for one night on March 25th, 2011, the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Greater Grand Rapids and Rapid Growth Media will turn that cordiality on its head. We're having a battle, a faceoff...a Nonprofit smackdown!
Come out to this fun event to see 16 contenders representing 8 nonprofit sectors, from the arts to homelessness to foundations to healthcare, square off on stage at Wealthy Theatre, honing their skills and telling us why they're the best . You'll witness local nonprofit welterweights like Luisa Schumacher, Steve Faber, Bridget Clark Whitney, Rachel Hood and many more duke it out for the grand title. All refereed by the one and only, Nikos Monoyios!
In the end there can be only one, and the audience gets to choose.
Please bring your favorite noise maker (We need more cowbell!!)
Doors and concessions open at 7:00 for pre-event mingling, gloves go on at 8:00! This event is free and open to the public and you do not need to be YNPN Member to attend.
