Angela and Carly will walk you through how to make yourself a strong applicant and then, a strong candidate in the interview process. Whether or not you are working with a recruiter on your next job search, these areas are paramount to your success as a candidate. Angela Burke, President
Angela first joined Palladian West in 2012 as an Executive Recruiter, but prior to that, she worked with ministry and non-profits as an Executive Search Consultant. In addition, she also held roles in HR, Volunteer Recruitment, and Executive Leadership in nonprofit for 12 years. From 2015-2018 she served at Bethany Christian Services as Vice President of Talent Management. Here she also held various roles that included building out an Internal Recruiting department for their nearly 1400+ staff across the country. In the summer of 2018, she rejoined Palladian West as Managing Director. Along with Business Development and Recruiting, Angela has been certified with a number of assessments and now leads our team as Certified Partners with the Predictive Index. She particularly enjoys the coaching and consulting elements of this business. Angela lives in Grandville, MI with her husband, David, two teenage daughters, Calista and Camdyn, and their Labradoodle, Scotch.
Carly Smyly, Executive Search Consultant
Carly joined Palladian West in 2019 after devoting over 15 years to large nonprofit organizations in Michigan and Southern California. She is consistently recognized as a top recruiter, effective leader, successful business developer, excellent communicator, and intentional partner to colleagues and clients. Carly has a passion for developing people, building teams, and cultivating synergy between the employee experience and organizational goals. As a graduate of Calvin College and Azusa Pacific University with a Master of Science in Organizational Psychology, she is excited to be carrying out her passion and utilize her education through Palladian West. Carly is certified in the Predictive Index and LEGO ® Serious Play ®. Outside of investing in her clients and candidates, Carly rejuvenates by spending time with her husband and their two fur babies, Lilly (a Pug) and Gizmo (a Boston Terrier), in their West Michigan home. She enjoys cooking, connecting with friends and family, playing board games, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
