Kevin is an advocate for developing strong communities through resident engagement and empowerment. When not completing homework from his classes in the Master of Public Administration - Nonprofit Management & Leadership program at GVSU, you can find Kevin kayaking, walking Aman park, snowshoeing, or likely volunteering out in the community. In 2019, Kevin served as the Chapter Support Fellow for YNPN National, where he provided technical assistance and coaching to the 44 chapters across the country. Kevin values YNPN-GR for its potential to both lift and support local talent by providing accessible and quality professional development and networking opportunities.

Kasie's passion is engaging in health care advocacy and policy, including educating elected officials. During her board term, she wants to create opportunities for others to network, learn, and develop skills as they begin their careers in the Grand Rapids community while keeping their passion for the nonprofit industry alive and thriving. When she is not at work, she enjoys kickboxing, taking her Morkie, Mila, on walks, trying new restaurants and burying herself in a good book. Kasie is the recipient of the 2018 Michigan Primary Care Association Peer Leadership Award for advocacy work at Cherry Health and holds a Master's of Public Health with an emphasis in Health Policy & Administration from GVSU.

Claire has been involved with YNPN.GR for quite some time and values it's wonderful network of professionals in our community. Angela is a passionate about her family, music and the arts, animal protections and care, LGBTQ and equal rights for all, and always doing what is right. She was motivated to join the YNPN.GR board to get more involved with the development culture here in GR, and to be a supportive voice for young professionals in this field because she recognizes it is a challenging role to play in any organization. When not at work, she loves spending time with her husband and two children (And taking them to Disney World!) She also enjoys reading, coloring, shopping, crafts, movies, video games, and cleaning and organizing. Angela originally pursued her Undergraduate and Graduate studies in Opera performance, but then switched to a Master's Degree in Non-Profit Management from Florida State University.

Alica loves helping others and sharing joy with them - in whatever capacity that she can. She values YNPN because it provides West Michigan young professionals opportunities to connect with local non-profit organizations, engage in continuous learning and growth through professional development, and serve the Grand Rapids community. What drove her to join the YNPN board was that she wanted to give back, be a part of, and serve an organization that provides so many opportunities for professionals to gain insight on the philanthropy sector in our community. When not working or in meetings, she loves spending quality time with her family and friends, staying active, traveling and exploring new places, and enjoying local breweries or places with delicious dessert!

Taylor is passionate about working with kids and she loves being able to share in their intelligence, curiosity, and considers it a great privilege to be a part of their journey. When she is not working, you can find her spending time with her family, scouting out new restaurants, and when it's warm, she is most definitely at the beach. Seeing her peers be involved in YNPN.GR and knowing the community YNPN.GR builds motivated her to join. She is looking forward to growing professionally and doing her part to help others do the same.

What Winni values most about YNPN is the camaraderie and the mindset that members all truly want to see each other succeed. Members serve as a support system and a growth opportunity for one another, and are always willing to share their knowledge as well as lend a listening ear. When not at work, she enjoys cooking, crafting, and watching Hulu. She is passionate about women's rights and ensuring healthcare for all. Winni wanted to join the board because she believes that she has a lot to learn from YNPN and she wanted more people in the sector to be aware of YNPN's resources. YNPN provides a space for both personal and professional peers to share, ask questions, and get support. She wanted to be a part of that!

Arianne loves connecting with donors and learning their passions, as well as working internally in nonprofits to build and develop teams. Rachel is passionate about education, community-building, and empowering youth through mentorship. What she values about YNPN is the support and leadership opportunities for young nonprofit professionals. When Rachel is not at work, she enjoys refinishing furniture, walking her dog, Emilio, and exploring the outdoors with her twin daughters. She holds a Master of Science in Communication Studies from Grand Valley State University, focused on organizational leadership and inclusion initiatives. In addition to YNPN, she is the Chair of the Diversity, Inclusion, and Global Outreach Committee (DIG) at YMCA Camp Manitou-Lin, a member of the Sense of Belonging Workgroup at Westside Collaborative, and a mentor at Affinity Mentoring.

Hanna loves hearing what connects a donor to the mission of an organization and making them feel valued and heard through consistent communications and marketing. Her favorite part of YNPN.GR is being able to connect with peer professionals and the opportunity to be connected to a wider array of types of nonprofits. Hanna is currently pursuing an MBA with a Marketing concentration, but when not at work or doing homework, she enjoys reading, playing video games, cooking, and binge watching Netflix documentaries.

Michael is passionate about advancing equity and justice – in organizations, communities, and society. He considers himself fortunate to be able to pursue this passion through both his full time role at Ktisis Capital, in his capacity as Vice President of the BOD at Alternatives in Motion, and, now, as board member of YNPN! He started his career at the Johnson Center for Philanthropy, so he's a big believer in the power, role, and importance of philanthropic support and infrastructure organizations. Michael believes that the YNPN board is a wonderful opportunity to continue supporting – and being supported by – a vital infrastructure organization. In his free time, Michael enjoys drinking red wine, playing euchre with friends, going to shows, and being disappointed by the Detroit Red Wings.

Allison is passionate about sustainability and the work environmental organizations are doing to make Grand Rapids greener. She also enjoys working with organizations that help vulnerable kids and youth, especially those who offer opportunities for them to grow and thrive. Outside of work, Allison enjoys exploring West Michigan and trying out new restaurants and visiting shops. There's a special place in her heart for treasure hunting at antique stores. She also enjoys playing beach volleyball through the Grand Rapids Sport and Social Club, and can always be found with a book.
